My fiance's '96 Integra was recently broken into and his stereo (which was a piece of crap), XM radio, harness straps, and 200+ CDs were stolen. Beside from him being pissed about this and the thief being a total dumb ass (the stereo was worthless, the volume buttons didn't work, they didn't take the major components of the XM just they interface, the CDs were WEIRD music that no normal person would listen to, and the harness straps being completely incompatible with anything but his Sparco seat and roll bar) his car is now completely devoid of music.
He just bought a new 60 gb video iPod so for Valentine's day I would like to get him a new stereo that is compatible with it. However, I have no idea what would work with his car. Any ideas/help/experience/recommendations are throughly appreciated!

I don't know much about car audio, however I know that Apple makes a AM/FM transponder so your Ipod sends songs over to the headunit or something like that. You can get those anywhere that sells Ipod stuff. You'll also of course need a headunit, speakers and all that. I prefer Alpine headunits, and MB speakers etc.
Any pics of the car?

OKI can definitely help you out with that I know just about every thing when it comes to audio. So first off is there a specific brand of stereo or speakers to want? and second do you want it to work with the stereo or just a stereo? If have question or you need morehelp email me at Triton613@hotmail.com

I already got him a replacement stereo but thanks for the offer! I ended up choosing the Kenwood KCA-MP228. Nothing to fancy becuase he didn't want anything to flashy for fear that it would get stolen again. I think it was a good deal, got it for $110. I also got the Kenwood iP500 interface for the iPod for about $70 on etronics.com (it is atleast $100 anywhere else). You can control your iPod through the deck with it. This is cool because you could install your iPod and the interface in the trunk persay so it would be locked up and out of view at all times. He hasn't installed them yet so we'll see how it works!
