Default Acura Integra GSR 1997

My acura has been having issues in the last 3 weeks. It has become extremely difficult to change gears every now and then. I drive a lot of highway so no problem so far but in the locals when shifting gears I have to really try hard to shift gear. Any ideas what is going on ? I have 162K miles on this vehicle and it is running very nicley otherwise.

Talking Hello New Member/Welcome

Have you ever replaced your trans lube?
Also how does the clutch feel?

Default Clutch Trouble

Hi Thanks for the reply. I dont think I replaced the Trans Lube. Is that the Transmission Lube ? I have not done any major tranmission related job on this vehicle. I replaced brakes recently and that is it.

The clutch is not very easy but it has been like that for about 6 months now. But now even the gear is very difficult to shift. Sometimes it is very easy to shift and sometimes not. (50-50).

op,
id recommend a tranny fluid flush at first and then if the problem persists it could be a faulty cylinder (master or salve), or just that the clutch is wearing out and having issues engaging/releasing properly....

I have a 95 integra automatic tranny. My problem is that theres
something wrong it when i try to shift the gears sometimes it clicks
in and sometimes it doesnt. when it clicks in to drive, it wokrs for a
few seconds then it doesnt run but when i step on the gas the engine
still runs. I know its the the cable cause i can hear the transmission
click in gear. I double check the tranny oil and its full. I also
check to see if the axle may have gotten loose or fell out but it
didnt. Can anyone help me here? Please email me soon im in need of the
car.....

Is a 1988 Acura Integra 4dr LS with a DOHC B18 that has 225,000 miles
worth 750? I drove it and everything, its strong and pretty fast to
be stock and to be that old. The body is in good condition, as well as
the interior. has tinted windows and 16 rims. The only thing wrong
with it is the paint job and an exhaust leak. Is 750 a good deal for
this car, are Acuras good on high mileage, and Can they be driven hard
with that many miles and be able to with stand? Are these cars good on
gas?
