I havea 1999 GSR. I have a serious wheel hop problem. It is only in first gear though but it is hard to race any one becuase I have to let off because it sounds like the motor is going to fall out. All I have done is exhaust, intake, and some 17 x 7 wheels with 205/40 BFG T/A KDW which are Z rated. It got worst when I put this rims and tires on. I don't have ant suspension work done. I don't know if I put springs or coil overs on if it will help. Any info. would help me out greatly thanks.

 

http://www.raktron.com/misc/mt.htmthis isnt for your car but it does explain why its happening and it has a cheap and easy way to help the problem. I dont think you have to worry about the motor falling out but i hear it is very hard on the tranny.
