Wont start from heat
#1
Hey how's it going. I have a 92 Acura Integra LS and am having trouble start my car when the weather is hot. It starts fine in the cold weather. I am wondering if anyone has any sugesstions on what it could be. No mechanic I have taken it to can figure it out, and I am getting tired of blowing money on a mechanic when they never fix the problem. I have replaced my ignition coil, spark plugs, rotor, and distributor cap. Thank you to anyone that can help.

wow i have the same car with the same problem basically! I have a 92 teg but it had a motor swap so it now is running a 94 LS VTEC motor. I thought that was the problem but i asked the guy who i bought it off of and he said he had the same problems in the heat before the motor swap.
My guess is that you should check to make sure your radiator and radiator hoses are fine. Also you may need a new coolant thermostat. That will allow the car to start up in hotter weather. I found aftermarket thermostats on ebay for less than 30 bucks.
Other areas of concern- check to see if your heat override switch is on, check to see if you have a faulty feul sensor.

A weak but still working fuel pump may not have the power to push a vapor lock bubble back into the gas tank.
I would recommend a fuel pressure test befor spending any money elsewere...
A intermittent fuel pump relay can cause simular problems.
