Tires Spinning in Snow Then A lOUD Crack

I was stuck in snow last night and the front tires started to spin, until A loud Crack sound occurred then no more spinning just some banging. RPM's and Speedo went up with the gas but no movement. It got towed away and I haven't been able to look at it yet. Any Ideas? I'm thinking I snapped an Axle or my Transmission is messed up. 1999 Acura 3.2 TL. Just looking for a heads up before I go see a mechanic

Sounds like you might have blown a CV joint there..Let us know what happen'd when you find out...

More likely to be internal transmission problems rather than an axle issue. Have your vehicle towed to a local shop that specializes in Acuras and/or transmissions. Best of luck.
