I have a steering noise / vibration at idle on my 2008 MDX.

With the truck motionless in “drive”, engine at idle (like waiting at a traffic light), whenever I rotate the steering wheel a humming noise and vibrationis heardfrom the steering system. The noise / vibration is not there when the engine is cold, but kicks in once it warms up.

I noticed that the vibration / noise is not there when the engine gets a little bit of speed on top of the current idle one. I tested it by depressing the brake pedal with my left foot (to keep the truck from moving) and to allow the right foot to rev up a little bit the engine (with 100 rpm or so). Then I spin the steering wheel and the problem is not there.

Following my complaints my Acura dealer has replaced the steering rack, the fluid (twice) and recently the steering pump. The problem has not vanished, on a contrary. My dealer says they don't know what else to do.
Has anybody else experienced this?

What do you guys think / advise? |
