Recently bought an RSX 03 from a Honda dealership. I have noticed that
each time I slow down and brake or pick up speed there is a noticeable clicking noise that I'm told is the activation of this security feature. I've had mixed feedback from Acura service centres. Honda has been useless. Some say its a feature of the '03 car, others say its way too load and others that it should not be happening. I test drove others and did not notice this. This is a big miss by Acura if its standard. I do find it hard to believe that for a car of this stature that this annoying noise is typical. Any experience /comments from other owners. Cheers |
Sounds like it might be a bad/loose CV joint or a problem in the ABS system, also check wheel bearings.Have had all of these problems associated with a clicking noise.Sure isn't a normal sound no matter the car or age of the car.Good luck

Its for sure coming from the gear area. They actually replaced the solenoid component. I still can't believe they think that its a normal noise ... boo to Honda/Acura.

Sounds like you need to find a btter repair source. I have a 91 integra with 250,000 miles on it,still running strong. There's a "ring" at the brake assembly that actuates the ABS.May be bad or loose. When I buy a car,I buy a Haynes and Chilton repair book.Between the two of them I can usually get the job done or at least they point me in the right area.Good luck.
