<DIV>I went to my mechanic, and after changing my oil, he added in some anti-freeze (another brand) into the coolant. It wasn't a honda brand, but I was wondering if it was okay. He only added in a little bit, but now its over the max line by an inch. </DIV>
<DIV>my car has 5,500 miles on it. </DIV>
<DIV>i actually went to the dealer about this, but all they did was check for leaks and then say it was okay. i was willing to spend another 170 for coolant flush, but he said its not necessary. am i just freaking out?</DIV>
<DIV>should this be okay?</DIV>

At the low milage of the car, you don't need to do a flush! The mechanic probably just added to the expansion overflow reservoir (EOR). When the engine heats, the coolent expands and has to go somewhere and that place is the EOR. When the engine cools down, the coolent is drawn back into the engine coolent jacket. The EOR tank is usually translucent to allow a visual check of the level. When cool the level should be below max; when hot it might be above max. Any quality coolent matching the type use by the manufacture should be fine.

By the way, what kind of fuel economy do you get with the TSX? How many miles can you drive on a full tank of fuel? I commute and have been considering this car as a posible replacement for my Legend.
