I have a 1999 acura 1.6 el. I am having problems with the power locks. Usually it is when I unlockthedoors. Thelocks constantly click until I lock them with my keyless. Another time I am driving and the doorlocks open on there own.I have to toggle them open and toggle the closed and it appears to fix the issue. Has anyone ever run into this type of problem before?

Any ideas what it maybe?

does the vehicle have a aftermarket alarm?

if not i suspect damage to the door lock harness some where between the door hinge area and the switch.

also a deffective switch can cause this.

yes, I got such problem with my Acura when I purchased it from a New Cars auction agency. But the team was kind enough to me and solve my problem when I approached them.

Is your key fob a original Acura one or does it have an aftermarket name on it?
That might give us a clue as to its orgin...

Hi, I have 3 key fobs,, all say Acura on them. How can I tell if it is after market. Also, I noticed that only one of the key fobs actually make the car sound when locking the door. The other 2 do not make a sound when locking or opening the doors.

Why do you ask?

Hi,

I had all actuators checked in the car.

They found that there was allot of moisture in all of the doors. They think that it was caused by the detailling they did to the car. They replaced a module and actuator in the passenger front door and the actuator in the drivers side and all is working great. So far.

Thanks All
