<DIV>I live in Reno/Sparks, NV. I don't know why, but there is no Acura dealer within 120 miles. The closest are in Sacramento, CA.

The TSX has all of the features I want. I don't mind buying the car out-of-state if I can find a good deal. I travel a lot in the west and can easily pick up a car in any western state.

My concerns are what is my experience going to be like if I need warranty work done. I called Acura and they said that theoretically you can have warranty work done by a non-dealer, independent Accura certified company (they exist in Reno), pay for it yourself, and Acura would re-imburse you for the cost if it really was covered under warranty.

Does anyone have experience with a similar situation, i.e., no Acura dealer within a reasonable distance? Did you get re-imbursed? Do Honda dealerships do the work (Acura said no, but in some forums they imply that they might)?

Thank you for any input.</DIV></TD></TR>

I had an issue with goodyear kinda like this. I just bought all new tires and I had one blow on me due to a hole in the road. Well I bought my insurance for the tires and can have any goodyear fix them so I thought. I took it to one of those affiliate companies even though they have goodyear signs. He told me after the work was done that I would have to pay and then I would be reimbursed. He was talking to the 1-800 goodyear guy and I got on the phone with him and told him that they need to pay this company not me that is why I bought the insurance. They did it. SO yeah moral of the story those companies should do something like that for you. As far as honda not doing the work, it is probably true but one of the stupidest things that I have ever heard.
