I have a '92 Integra. There is something making a mechanical noise in the right-side of the engine bay. The noise has been getting more frequent during the past week. The noise turns on-and-off without any change in anything else on the car. It always stops when I turn off the key. It is a constant speed, and sounds like some kind of electrically driven mechanism. It is just loud enough to hear while driving at low speed with the windows rolled up. I have looked around the engine bay for the source, but have not been able to find it. If anyone has any idea what is making this noise, I would appreciate some information. Thanks. |
ABS pumps can make noise like that.
look for a thing with break lines coming out of it. If it is going to make noise it will do it after the car has been sitting for a few min (off) then turn it on. do not start the engine. If its the ABS pump then you will feel it/hear it. |
