i found a toucan header for my 96 teg LS its only 42$ on ebay and its new its a 4-1. should i get it??? well it help?? is there any bad issues with it being a 4-1 not a 4-2-1? please help

 

to my knowledge a 4-1 is for upper end hp and 4-2-1 is from low end. tegs are pretty strong in low and can use a little help in the upper. So I would jump on a deal like that.

 

the 4-2-1 should provide a bit more back pressure, which bolsters low end torque, but slighly hurts the high end rpm horsepower...any header should make a noticable difference over the stock exhaust manifold.

 

I have never heard of toucan and for 42USD I would be a little ify of putting it on my car. I would stick with more the name brands. (e.g. AEBS, DC Sports, Hotshot, ect.) Yeah they are a little more expensive but well worth the money.

 

hmm just to let you nkow we install this on a buddy of mine it a poor fitment

 

what was wrong with the fitment? poor fitment at the head, or at the exhaust end?

 

This is exactly what I am talking about. Ebay is bad about this. These car parts that are 300-500USD for a good one and you are paying 42USDyou are obviously going to have problems with it. If you care about your car that much spend the money.
