I was driving my 1990 Legend LS home one evening when the engine stopped running. It turns over fine but will not fire off. I have compression. The engine was cold when I tested it, but it was a consistent 120 psi in each of the 4, out of 6, cylindersI checked. I pulled two spark plugs and they sparked when turning the engine over. If fact, when I first pulled the spark plug out and turned the engine over, about a 12 inch flame shot out of the cylinder hole. I did not check the fuel system pressure, but when I cracked the fuel rail open there was definitely gas pressure. You can hear the fuel system charging when the key is first turned on. The ECU code came up up with a code 15 which is the ignition system. I replaced the igniter to no avail. I reset the computer and now it doesn't code anything. I sprayed starter fluid in the intake and it still didn't even try to fire off. Seems like a timing problem doesn't it? Could it be the crank sensor? I'm kind of at my wits end. It's a bit expensive to just keep replacing parts hopingto get lucky. Any ideas?

Check the main relay. The main relay powers ignition circuit, injectors and fuel pump.
