'97 Acura CL 3.0 Glove Box Will Not Open
 

I just purchased this '97 Acura CL and I cannot get the glove box to open. The key enters the lock vertically and I can turn it to the right but when I attempt to pull the latch forward, it does not move. Any ideas on how I might open the glove box without major damage? Thank you.

I have the same problem on a '93 Integra
