//--></>I recently aquired a 91 integra GS from a cousin. The RPM raves up and downfrom .9 RPM to 1.5 RPM. This usually happens about the first 30 mins afther starting the car and only when in parking orwhen in acomplete stop; after that RPM drops down before 1 RPM and stablize. My cousin told me it might be the oxygen sensor but I'm not sure. Any suggestion is appreciated.

Is it really cold where you are. Sometimes a engine will do that if it is. I have a nissan spec V and it will rev a lil higher on a cold morning. NOthing unusual about that.

I have the same car and it does the same thing. Probably not o2 sensor. If an o2 sensor is flakin out or going back it will show a check engine light. Cold or not, when you first start the acura the ecu runs it in rich mode. Sound like nothing to worry about.

actually a lot of cars do it not just the acura and if it does it when it is not cold then you do have a small problem maybe in the timing.

OK I have a 90 and 2 91s I found that if you douch out the IACV it usually clears that up. If not it may be the TPSandyou cannot service the TPS you gotta replace the throttle body.

STUCK pcv valves can affect the idle controll circuit causing a hunting effect.

hot or cold

As well as a vacume leak

if you have other high end performance problems may need to focus on fuel system.
