I've heard rumors that you can not tint a 05 TL because the sills will damage the tint when the windows are operated. True or false?

i know this a little late to reply but the only way that will happen is if who ever puts the tint on doesnt know what the hell they are doing.

The Reason it damages the tint is ifthe person installing tint bends the sill down all else ok.

I own a tint shop in orlando, florida. The problem with the TLs are that they have a different sill or seal. They are lacking the traditional moleskin "fuzzy" strip that every other model has. What happens if you tint the car without applying a aftermarket high temperature moleskin, it will get vertical scratches on it when you roll your windows up and down.

you should be more concerned if you have a navigational system and you install a metalized conductive film on the windows, it can affect your system negatively./

Peace
