Hi all,
Problems with my wife's 2001 3.2 CL-S automatic trans. The cruise control will engage, lights come on etc., but will instantly lose speed then rev back up. It will just continue this cycle but won't not hold at any speed. Any suggestions of where to start looking before I have to crack open the manual?

hmmm that sounds like the cruise module is bad.

 

I also had an issue with my cruise control. It seems that the small plastic piece by the throttle body[img]uploads/SpeedJat/DSC05934.JPG[/img] broke. It is supposed to hold the cruise control cable.
Is your problem the same?

 

oh nice NICE PICTURE a loose cruise cable could cause this.

also a cable that is out of adjustment can do this.
