code for stock stereo?

my buddy owns a 97 cl and he disconnected the battery and reconnected it for something, and now the stereo dont work and is asking for a code...he'd called up acura and they being real pains about it, but i was wondering if theres just some universal code or some way to find it out.........thanks

pull the radio out of the vehicle and private message me the numbers on its case i will call acura and get you the code. if you have the owners manual it should be in there somewhere.
you could also walk in with the radio in hand and title of ownership of the car and tell them to give you your code then write it in the owners manual or like i do on some...use a sharpie and write the code on the radio case.

After disconnecting my battery I also had the radio lock up. I got a working radio code here:
