My buddy has a 2006 v6mustang that he just got and he just put a new flowmaster true dual exaust system on it and i wanted to kno if i could beat him in a race from 0-90 maybe 100. i drive a 2002 acura cl type s, bone stock. both are manual but mine has a sportshift thing.my stats and his are almost the same (mine are ahead by a bit in some areas)i just need extra opinions. thx

i believe your vehicle is 500-800 pounds lighter
in addition a front wheel drive system is more efficient in power transfer because you dont go through a hypoid style diff...aka make the power turn 90 degrees

i think you will have a fun run on your hands.

rember to take it to the track. not the street.
1 little oopsie and you both may loose your rides/lives.

</>Is his a run o the mill mustang or a GT? GT's are friggen fast. I suspect that the gains from his exaust system are minimal. I say line em up and see what happens even if it is a GT. To echo what acuralegend said, PLEASE take it to the track. Your local dragstrip should have plenty of events that you guys could grudge match at for cheap(under 50$) you'll even get timeslips out of it. My local track (Bandimere Colorado) has 22 test and tunes scheduled this summer with full support from law enforcement for 35$. Good luck and keep it safe! </>

My GF has a completely stock 2003 CL with a 3.2 and an auto trans. I have raced her just playing around on the hwy. I also raced a brand new 07 Mustang with a v6 (not sure what size), auto trans, intake, exhausts, and a cheap hand held tuner. After racing both I can tell you that the CL would pull away from the mustang hard! I've never had her car to the track but I would guess it would run a low 10 second 1/8th mile. Good Luck!
