i have a 2001 cl type s that i bought new. lately, when the car is parked in the driveway the car alarm has been frequently going off for no apparent reason. when the car is parked in the garage the alarm never goes off. apparently the alarm is also going off in various parking lots as we had a note on the car one day letting us know that the alarm had been going off. the alarm is certainly easy to turn off -- if we hear it -- but is there a process to disengage the alarm altogether? i still want to be able to lock the car but i don't really need the alarm feature any longer.

does anyone have an ideas?
