OKay so my boyfriend just got a used 99 cl and its been giving us some hardcore problems. It came with 105k miles on it. After a few weeks of driving , the check engine light came on, and since then we've had several problems with it. The car would stall while idling, and we had the Idle Air Control Valve replaced, then they gave us a faulty part, and it was replaced again. Just today the check engine light came back on, and when I read the code it was a misfire on sparkplug 1. Well I changed all four sparkplugs, and number one was black and disgusting looking. Number 3 was also very dirty and black. After the change it ran smooth for about a quarter of a mile then the light flashed on again. The car has been jumping a little too, since he got it. I don't really know what it could be right now, because I've fixed alot of things so far, hoping it would fix the problem.

Any ideas anyone? I'd hate to see him sell a car he just bought.
