Default 1999 Acura RL Headlight issue

Hello,
I still love my Acura which I purchased with 39k miles on it and I am now rolling with 260k

My goal is to take it to 300k which will give me another 2.5 years but I need some help/advice. My question:

I have a headlight that works itermittently. The last time I purchased those headlights, I was told they last approximately 7 years. When I see that the light is out, I can turn the lights off and on and then it comes back on. Sometimes it stays on for the rest of the trip or sometimes I have to turn the lights on and off several times to get the light working. Anybody had that issue? Could there be another issue that is causing the intermittent behavior?

Never heard of such problem. Could be huge wiring problem but surely you need expert help to solve it...

Check your ground wire that grounds out that headlight to see if there is corriosion at the ground wire itself.

If you need a professional to help solve your problem, you could head to Precision Inc. in Tucson Arizona. They specialize in Honda and Acura repair. If you want more information, here is their website where you can schedule appointments: http://www.tucsonprecisionservice.com

Default Headlight Issue

Big Thanks to WilsonHenry and WheelBrokerAng for responding to my question. WBAng, I asked the service tech to take a look and what they found was a connection that wasn't tight so they thought they had it fixed. It started doing it again so it might be a bigger deal as they thought they fixed it.

Thanks for the suggestion though. Much cheaper than one of those expensive lights......

When it goes out....any chance you could check for voltage and ground on the wires to the light?

I know they said the light will last 7 years but they could be wrong. A filiment could be bad causing intermit issues
