Strange Front Tire WEAR

I have an 07 MDX with 40,000 miles. I just noticed both front tires are getting chewed up about 1 1/2 inches in from where the outside tread starts. Its on both sides of the tire and on both front tires. The tread in the middle between the two areas gettig chewed up is in great shape with another 10 to 15,000 miles of tread life left.

The car is going to the dealer Monday, but was wondering if anyone has an idea what is causing the problem. I want to be knowlegable when I go to the dealer on Monday if they say it is an alignment problem.

0tires are supposed to wear in the dead center in and out. The mdx is an all wheel drive vehicle. The camber could be off or it could need an alignment. tell them to check your toe in.

I have a 2003 Acura TL-S with a similar problem - both front tires with 30K miles or so are wearing on the outside edge (both inside and outside). Greg105, did the dealer find anything for your MDX?

and making sure your tires are inflated properly make a huge difference.
In tread wear and gas mileage!

Boosted 475 has got that right..why do you think they put
those TPMS's on all the new cars tires?

Is there any one that didn't know about TPMS?
