Default Where is the OBD-II Connector?? 1999 CL

Hello, I just bought my 1st ever Acura, a 1999 2.3 CL, w/105k and in near perfect shape.

I have a ScanGuage 2 device that plugs in the OBD-II computer port, but I cannot find it anywhere. Someone said it might be behind the Ashtray in the console, but I see no way to easily remove it.

It seems absurd that they would put the diagnostic port in a location that requires disassembly of the car just to check a "Check Engine Light"!

A little help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow! What an avalanche of replies! Well I will answer my own question. Its behind the Ashtray! DUMB location if like me you want to plug in a ScanGuage full time. Oh well.

The reason it was so hard to find is that the previous owner had an after market CD/Tuner installed and the idiots who installed it broke all the wood trim around the console, and the ashtray assembly. So the ashtray was GLUED in place!

Asked the prev owner why he did not make the Car Audio installers replace the broken trim they destroyed, got this reply, "I'm easy going. I didn't want to get the kid in trouble." What an awesome sentiment as your semi-luxury car is devalued by an incompetent fool. again.. Oh well.
